F A S T L I N K N E T W O R K FastLink Network was formed by a select team of entrepreneurs with over 45 years of combined experience in Management Information Systems, Telecommunications, UNIX systems, and Systems Integration, as well as three years of success in the Internet business. We have brought together network design specialists, sales experts, and support engineers from companies such as AT&T, American Express, TRW, and Rockwell International. We have a single goal: Provide the highest quality products at the most reasonable price while constantly improving our level of service. This may sound like a standard line you would hear from any company, but few have the resources and focus to follow through on these objectives. I N F R A S T R U C T U R E FastLink Network was designed from the first day to transfer mission critical data from one computer site to another in the most efficient way possible. FastLink's infrastructure is based on state-of-the-art Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) technology. This ATM backbone is a network comprised of high speed International circuits, and provides a rock solid information super-highway for you and your company's data. FastLink's engineers selected ATM for delivery of Internet Protocol (IP) traffic because of its inherent reliability and its impressive ability to adapt bandwidth usage for maximum efficiency. Because of our expansive ATM network, FastLink is able to provide a wide range of Internet services including public dial-up access, dedicated connections for organizations and municipalities of all sizes, complete World-Wide-Web (WWW) solutions, and bandwidth for local Internet Service Providers (ISPs). FastLink was deployed and operational in a matter of months and has been able to consistently expand to stay ahead of the bandwidth demands of its customers resulting in high throughput with low latency. Our fully-meshed ATM backbone spanning the United States and beyond supports international transfer of data, voice, and video teleconferencing packets and will be expanded to further support these and many other services into the year 2000 and beyond. FastLink maintains a centralized Network Operations Center (NOC) located in Encino, California that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We have developed a complete software and hardware solution to remotely detect, troubleshoot, and eliminate problems throughout our network in many cases before our customers are aware of them. FastLink demonstrates the highest level of performance by proactively researching, developing, and deploying new technology at a pace that makes us one of the premiere Internet Service Providers in the world. |
